Inside My Research Design for Non-Anthropology Majors Course
Ethnographic Field Notes: An Impromptu Conversation
Setting Context:
My research design…The main framework is autoethnography and at any given moment an individual can share their perspective with me. As an African American publisher by way of the arts, librarianship, archives, and technology and entrepreneurship I use autoethnography and phenomenological ethnography as frameworks to guide the process of understanding the user experiences of participants who engage with ART | library deco, a virtual African American art library and repository: www.artlibrarydeco.space. I had no idea that as the 2021 Tarrant County Harambee Festival Volunteer Chair that I would be immersed into my first set of fieldnotes.
